IP Litigation Associate

An exciting opportunity is available for an Associate to join a dynamic Intellectual Property Litigation team. This role is suited to a motivated legal professional with experience in patent and trade secret disputes, offering the chance to work on complex, high-value matters while contributing to the development of junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support patent and trade secret litigation matters.
• Handle cases from initial stages through to resolution.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Assist in developing case strategy and preparing legal arguments.
• Conduct detailed legal research and draft pleadings and submissions.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the litigation team.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates where appropriate.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years’ experience in IP litigation, particularly patent and trade secret matters.
• Strong academic background with a high level of achievement.
• Solid experience gained within a recognised law firm environment.
• Proven ability to take and defend depositions.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior associates is desirable.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Competitive base salary ranging from $260,000 to $420,000.
