To support a growing pharmacy service, the full-time Iowa Licensed Billing Specialist will manage the processing of customer bills and insurance claims, provide excellent customer service, and serve as a departmental resource while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Research and establish patient eligibility coverage with insurance providers and maintain accurate patient files Provide timely assistance to billing inquiries and independently resolve patient billing issues Perform prescription claims adjudication and ensure compliance with pharmacy billing requirements Required qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; Pharmacy Technician license/certification preferred 3+ years of related experience, including at least 1 year at the Billing Specialist II level Advanced computer skills with pharmacy information system experience required Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment Great attention to detail and accuracy in billing processes
