iOS Software Engineer, Agentic Systems - Special ProjectsWe're a small team at Apple betting on what comes next. Beyond the work, we're a collaborative, humble, and curious group that loves learning from each other and building together.ResponsibilitiesImplementation and optimization of agentic systems that manage context and orchestrate toolsPartner with ML and AI researchers to translate cutting-edge models into tangible featuresPrototyping ideas to support feature definition and iterationClearly communicate technical concepts to cross functional partnersCollaboration on architecture discussions and code reviewMinimum QualificationsStrong grasp of computer science fundamentals - BS computer science or equivalent experience3+ years of iOS development experience or equivalent product or systems engineering experiencePractical knowledge of how LLM-powered systems work, including prompt engineering and agent frameworksExperience with coding agentsCuriosity about new technologies, flexibility, and openness to ambiguityPreferred QualificationsThe following skills are not required, but one or more of these areas would be valuable:Experience building LLM/agentic systemsUnderstanding of how to leverage coding agents effectively and translate that experience into insightsTrack record of working cross-functionally and building strong partnerships amongst teams and individualsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.

This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
