Midlevel Associate PositionDirect Counsel is working with a top-tier international law firm to place a midlevel associate with 3–5 years of experience into its Investment Management practice in Boston. The ideal candidate will have prior large law firm experience and a strong background in private investment fund work.The successful candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:Forming private investment funds, including hedge funds, venture capital funds, and private equity fundsStructuring and drafting documentation for upper-tier management entities and bonus or carry plansAdvising on secondary transactions, including GP-led restructuringsAssisting institutional investors with private fund investments and co-investmentsFamiliarity with private fund structures, as well as the laws and regulations governing private funds and their managers, is essential.Requirements:3–5 years of investment management experience at a large law firmDeep knowledge of private funds and relevant regulatory frameworksActive membership in the Massachusetts BarThis role is based in the firm's Boston office
