Investment Banking Senior Associate - Technology M&A

A leading technology-focused investment banking boutique is seeking a Senior Associate to join its growing M&A team in San Francisco, CA.

This is an opportunity to work directly with founders, CEOs, private equity sponsors, and strategic acquirers on high-profile technology transactions, with significantly more responsibility and senior-level exposure than typically available at larger institutions.

The Role

• Lead execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A and strategic advisory engagements


• Build and oversee financial models, valuations, transaction analyses, and client materials


• Work directly with senior bankers and clients throughout the transaction lifecycle


• Manage junior team members and take ownership of key deal workstreams


• Develop deep expertise across software, AI, cybersecurity, fintech, and broader technology

The Profile

• 4–6 years of investment banking experience, ideally with meaningful M&A exposure


• Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills


• Strong communication, judgment, and attention to detail


• Genuine interest in technology and strategic transactions


• Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to take ownership
