About the Opportunity
We're conducting a confidential search on behalf of a highly respected, family‑owned investment bank with a long track record in energy dealmaking. Their Exploration & Production team advises oil & gas clients on M&A, A&D, and capital raising, and they're looking to add an Associate ready to run live deals and grow into a long‑term career.
What You’ll Do
- Play a key role in executing M&A, A&D, and capital‑raising transactions
- Build and oversee detailed financial models, valuation, and pricing analyses
- Prepare CIPs, management presentations, and marketing materials
- Support live engagements, business due diligence, and industry/comparable‑company research
- Mentor and develop analysts while maintaining direct client contact
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or a strong M&A platform
- Energy / E&P (oil & gas) exposure preferred — or deep M&A reps ready to specialize
- Excellent financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Strong accounting and finance foundation; quick to learn valuation methodologies
- Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
- Sharp written and verbal communication; strong attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
