Clinical X or In Residence Faculty SeriesThe Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is recruiting faculty candidates for its Program in Pediatric Research. These positions will support investigators across the spectrum of basic, translational, and clinical science. The program seeks to attract early-stage, mid-career, and senior researchers and offers a generous start-up package. Appointments will be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank in the Clinical X or In Residence series, with academic rank commensurate with experience.Selected candidates will join a major academic medical center and established fellowship training program. This position may have clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and would actively contribute to the Department's mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.Required Qualifications:MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree Eligibility for a California medical license Board-certified or board-eligible in pediatrics and/or a pediatric subspecialty Demonstrated record of high-impact publications and success in obtaining peer-reviewed external fundingEvidence of independence and productivity in a defined area of pediatric researchCommitment to working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environmentPreferred Qualifications:Evidence of effective teaching and mentorship of trainees or junior facultyStrong communication and leadership skills History of, or strong potential for, securing R01 or equivalent funding as Principal InvestigatorExperience building collaborative research programs across disciplines or institutionsFor positions that are 51% effort or more:
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $121,900-$344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. For positions that are 50% effort or less:
