Inventory/Warehouse ManagerTheoris Services is assisting our client in their search for an Inventory/Warehouse Manager to add to their growing team. Our client is a leader and innovator in distributed energy. They have responded to long-term trends in electricity by becoming the first smart-grid supplier to US energy consumers.

Reporting to the VP of Planning and Inventory, the Inventory/Warehouse Manager will lead the inventory team and warehouse operations for a manufacturing site ramp-up. You will own the full material lifecycle, including receiving, put away, production order picking, and logistics, ensuring that as production volumes increase, processes remain robust and the team stays aligned.

This role requires a leader who understands the financial impact of inventory transactions, ensuring transactional integrity and ERP data accuracy to meet both financial compliance and service level targets.Responsibilities:Recruit, onboard, and stabilize a high-performing inventory team; provide continuous training and mentoring to ensure the team is skilled in both physical handling and ERP system accuracyEstablish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, repeatable results as volume scalesSet clear performance goals and conduct regular evaluations; foster a culture of accountability, safety, and transactional disciplineProvide daily oversight of warehouse functions (Receiving, Shipping, Picking); actively monitor and control workflows to identify bottlenecks before they impact the production lineServe as the primary point of escalation for inventory discrepancies, logistics delays, or system errors, using data-driven insights to resolve root causesUtilize 5S methodologies to optimize warehouse layout for maximum picking and put away efficiencyServe as the primary owner of Item Card integrity within the ERP; partner with Planning and Procurement to ensure item parameters (lead times, safety stocks, reorder points) reflect operational realityMonitor MRP signals to ensure supply is synchronized with the master production schedule, proactively resolving gaps for internal production customersLead a rigorous cycle count program and coordinate full inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with records, ensuring 100% integrity for financial reportingEnsure all physical movements are mirrored in the ERP in real-time; maintain a deep understanding of how inventory transactions impact the General Ledger (COGS, WIP, and Valuation)Apply a strong foundational knowledge of SOX rules to ensure all processes meet internal control standards and audit readinessRequirements:Bachelor's degree in SCM, Industrial Engineering/Distribution, or a related fieldProven experience (5+ years) as an Inventory or Warehouse Manager leading a team within a manufacturing environmentProficiency in ERP systems and advanced understanding of warehousing processes and the related ERP transactionsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and analyze safety stock and re-order points for multiple sitesExperience working with 3PL and trucking companies to manage inter-modal logisticsExperience with new facility ramp-up, including warehouse layout, process design, transactional controls, and team buildingDesired:Experience with new facility ramp-up, including warehouse layout, process design, transactional controls, and team buildingPower BI experienceBusiness Central ERP experienceExperience implementing 5S within the warehouse environmentAbout Theoris: Our goal is to Fuel Your Career!
