As one of the nation's largest nonprofit Catholic healthcare organizations, CommonSpirit Health delivers more than 20 million patient encounters annually through more than 2,300 clinics, care sites and 158 hospital-based locations, in addition to its home-based services and virtual care offerings.As our Materials Management Technician, you will help the Manager or Supervisor to coordinate shifts, staffing, work assignments and schedules to ensure an efficient and productive team.Every day you will be responsible for disinfecting medical equipment and procedure carts according to department procedures. The technician receives, stores, issues, and delivers medical supplies and equipment, and prepares equipment and supplies for shipping when necessary.
This role includes performing daily counts of par-level locations using hand-held technology or the materials management information system, as well as entering data for stock items issued from inventory. The technician maintains all hospital inventory and materials management work areas in a clean and orderly condition and participates in the inventory and cycle-counting process as outlined by departmental procedures.To be successful in this role, you must have strong inventory management skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to professional service within a healthcare setting.Receives facility supplies, equipment and mail, insuring all documentation is complete and any problems with the shipments are identifiedSorts and delivers inter-office, U.S. Mail and packages per hospital procedure.
