Inventory SupervisorThe Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day execution of inventory and material control activities that directly support manufacturing operations. This role focuses on ensuring accurate inventory records, timely material availability to production lines, and adherence to established inventory control, safety, and quality procedures. The Inventory Supervisor works closely with production teams to prevent material shortages, resolve discrepancies, and maintain proper material flow on the shop floor.
While primarily operational in nature, this role provides frontline leadership and serves as the first level of escalation for inventory-related issues impacting production.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily inventory, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting activitiesEnsure accurate receipt, labeling, put-away, and system transactions for inbound materialsCoordinate line-side replenishment and finished goods staging using forklifts and other approved equipmentLead inventory team members, material handlers, and forklift operators on assigned shiftsEnsure associates are trained and certified before operating forklifts or powered industrial equipmentEnforce safe operation, pre-shift inspections, and proper use of material handling equipmentPerform scheduled cycle counts and reconcile discrepanciesCrosstrain team members on basic inventory, receiving, shipping, and equipment operation tasksSupport physical inventory and audit activitiesComply with all policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedEducation and Experience RequirementsHigh School diploma or GED required. Associates or technical degree preferred. Supervisory and/or leadership training a plus.1-3 years of material handling, warehouse, or inventory experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to operate and maintain a forklift and box truck certification requiredMust be self-directed and motivated; able to operate independently with limited supervision and exercise proper judgment; able to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentProficient in using the Microsoft Office suiteMilwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity employer.
