Inventory ManagerThis is a full-time, in-store, Asst. Manager position that reports directly to the Store Manager. The primary responsibility of the Inventory Manager is to manage and control all elements of the store inventory.The major responsibilities for this position include:Receive all product into the store inventory - complete receiving processes, including receiving shipments from Ace and all DSD vendorsOversee/Validate/Complete all inter-store transfers – in/outProcess all Credits, Policy A/B/C, as well as items invoiced but not receivedValidate all.com orders within 1 hour of receipt of orderWill be directly responsible for the Store's Shrink (along with the Sore Manager)Ensure data accuracy within the store system (Quantity-on hand, dollar accuracy, negative inventory, etc.)Ensure adequate inventory levels to minimize outages (incl.

shooting outs weekly and managing overstock/backroom inventory)Manage Computer Suggested Order processComplete the ACE Monthly Ad merchandise purchasesProcess daily/weekly price changes and print/hang shelf labelsUpdate discontinued tags, identify replacement SKU's and replace tags accordinglyTrain store staff on inventory management best practicesLearn and monitor inventory management reportsImplement and maintain location codesMonitor shrinkage and recommend ways to reduce theft and breakage in the storeIdentify obsolete inventory and determine how to best remove itComplete all Cycle CountsComplete all Hardware Reports/Statements as requiredOther as assignedKey characteristics:Commitment to and pride in a job well doneFocus on needs of others, which include cooperation with team members, helpfulness, responsiveness, and service orientedUnderstanding of the flow of merchandise into the store, onto the floor and out the door with the customerAnalytical ability to investigate/audit the reasons inventory counts are inaccurateDetail-oriented person who enjoys working with numbersDependability, which includes reliability and conscientiousnessMinimum requirements:Experience: General understanding of inventory principles and experience with retail programsUnderstand the flow of merchandiseExperience in a retail environment either in inventory, sales, or back officeSkills/Knowledge: Excellent computer skills.
