Inventory ControlCorporate Office - San Antonio, TX 78219DescriptionThe Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through daily cycle counting, inventory audits, and material investigations. This position plays a critical role in supporting production by ensuring inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory while identifying root causes of discrepancies and driving corrective actions. The Cycle Counter works closely with Warehouse, Production, Planning, Purchasing, and Quality teams to improve inventory integrity and support continuous improvement initiatives.Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, accountability, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInventory AccuracyPerform daily cycle counts in accordance with the established ABC Cycle Count Program and Location Audit schedule.Accurately count raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), finished goods, and purchased components.Verify inventory transactions and investigate inventory discrepancies.Maintain inventory accuracy goals established by the company.Recount and validate inventory variances when necessary.Inventory InvestigationsResearch inventory discrepancies using ERP transaction history.Identify root causes of inventory inaccuracies.Partners with Warehouse, Production, Receiving, Shipping, Purchasing, and Planning to resolve discrepancies.Document findings and recommend corrective actions.Assist with inventory adjustments following company procedures.Inventory ControlEnsure materials are stored in the correct locations.Audit warehouse locations for proper labeling and organization.Verify material movements are accurately transacted in the ERP system.Monitor inventory aging and identify obsolete or excess inventory.Support inventory quarantines and material hold when required.QualificationsRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Minimum 1 year of warehouse, inventory, manufacturing, or logistics experience preferred.Previous cycle counting or inventory control experience preferred.Basic computer proficiency.Experience working with ERP systems preferred (Syteline experience is a plus).Basic mathematical skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesExceptional attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.High level of integrity and accountability.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Strong communication skills.Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.Ability to identify trends and investigate root causes.Commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records.Continuous improvement mindset.Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding inventory and company information.Physical RequirementsFrequently stand and walk throughout the warehouse.Regularly lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.Frequently bend, squat, kneel, and reach.Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required if applicable).Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.Ability to climb ladders when necessary.Working ConditionsManufacturing and warehouse environment.Exposure to forklifts, moving equipment, and industrial machinery.Required use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Occasional overtime may be required to support inventory activities.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Inventory Accuracy %Cycle Count Completion RateABC Cycle Count ComplianceInventory Adjustment FrequencyInventory Discrepancy Resolution TimeInventory Location AccuracyRoot Cause Investigation CompletionAnnual Physical Inventory AccuracySafety Compliance5S Audit PerformanceCore CompetenciesIntegrityAccountabilityAttention to DetailTeamworkCustomer FocusContinuous ImprovementCommunicationSuccess ProfileA successful Cycle Counter at Lucifer Lighting is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining accurate inventory records that support uninterrupted production.
