Inventory Compliance Auditor

We are seeking a highly dependable and detail-oriented individual to fill a critical Inventory Control & Compliance role within a plant and yard environment. This position is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy through daily auditing, reconciliation, and compliance checks between physical materials in the yard and the computer inventory system.
Extensive training is provided for this role. Due to the level of responsibility and the time invested in training, we are seeking a long-term employee who is reliable, accountable, and committed to growing with the company.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily routine audits comparing physical inventory in the yard to the computer system
Verify accuracy of material handler counts and system records
Identify, document, and report inventory discrepancies
Enter exceptions into the cycle count and compliance logs
Perform cycle counts of WIP (Work in Progress) and finished goods
Maintain detailed audit logs for internal and external auditors
Review location sheets and ensure inventory compliance standards are met
Drive a company pickup truck in the yard to perform inventory checks (portion of shift)
Complete data entry and maintain accurate records using Excel spreadsheets
Work closely with plant personnel to maintain strict inventory control and accountability
Work Environment
Office located inside the plant
Frequent walking throughout plant and outdoor yard areas
Exposure to weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
Indoor workspace available during inclement weather
Required PPE when entering plant and yard areas
Qualifications
Strong math, counting, and auditing skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer and data entry skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel - Please complete Excel testing in SHL
Valid Driver's License (required to operate company vehicle in yard)
Ability to work independently and stay organized
Physically able to be active throughout the day
Strong sense of accountability and compliance
