The Intramural Program Administrator is primarily responsible for the intramural officiating program and provides additional support for the department’s recreational sports and activities that serve the BYU campus community. The BYU Intramural Activities Program is one of the largest of its kind. Each year around 12,000+ students are involved in the program with roughly 2000 teams in 40+ activities.What you’ll do in this position:Management of the Intramural Officiating ProgramHires and terminates all intramural game officialsFacilitates training of rules, mechanics, and technical aspects of sport officiatingPromotes effective game management skillsSchedules official’s game and work assignmentsConducts regular training interviews and development sessions with staffManages program to evaluate officialsCompiles reports and video segments for staff evaluationsResolves conflicts that ariseModels and promotes principles of good sportsmanshipIntramural Activity ProgrammingAdminister several specific sports each semesterEvent publicity, programming, and evaluationTournament scheduling and managementInterviews participants and mediates sportsmanship violationsSport equipment acquisition, storage, and maintenanceMentoring of student program coordinatorsWhat qualifies you for this role:RequiredA firm commitment to the mission of BYU.Bachelor’s degree and an equivalent combination of education and experience.Understanding of major team sport rules – ie.
