Administers contrast in accordance with established protocols under the direction of the proceduralist

Performs proper patient positioning and applies appropriate radiographic techniques for interventional procedures

Demonstrates strong knowledge of patient preparation, equipment operation, and monitoring systems

Accurately identifies patients using two identifiers and follows universal protocol for all procedures
-
Reviews patient history and physician orders; applies departmental protocols to ensure optimal imaging results

Documents patient history and required information in the electronic medical record

Maintains a safe procedural environment by adhering to aseptic technique and time-out processes
-
Communicates clearly with patients to explain procedures, ease concerns, and encourage cooperation

Ensures all exams are accurately coded, tracked in RIS, transmitted to ISITE, and charges are properly entered

Builds positive relationships with patients and team members through compassion, respect, and active listening

Collaborates effectively across departments to support efficient patient care

Assists with general radiographic procedures as needed

Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
