Job Description
The Interventional Radiology Technologist performs a wide range of diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures under minimal supervision. This role supports physicians during interventional examinations and ensures high-quality imaging, patient safety, and efficient workflow within the department.
Key Responsibilities
  • Performbasic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures as ordered by alicensed physician.
  • Providetechnical support for interventional radiology examinations, includingfluoroscopy, arthrography, trauma imaging, and OR procedures.
  • Assesspatient condition and ensure proper positioning and safety throughoutimaging procedures.
  • Operateand maintain imaging equipment, exam rooms, supplies, and medications.
  • Producehigh-quality diagnostic radiographs and rotate through advanced radiologyareas (OR, Urography, myelography, arthrography, trauma, and specializedplacements).
  • Completeall required competencies within the designated introductory period.
  • Performadditional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education
  • Required: Graduate of an accreditedImaging Program
  • Preferred: Associate's degree
Experience
  • Required: 2-5 years of X-ray experience
  • Preferred: 1-3 years of InterventionalRadiology experience
Certifications
  • Required: ARRT (R), BLS, and statelicensures (if applicable)
  • Preferred: ARRT VI or CI
Candidate Profile
  • 2-5years of relevant experience
  • Associate-levelseniority
  • Nomanagement experience required
  • Minimumeducation: Associate's degree
  • Willingnessto travel occasionally
