The Interventional Radiology Technologist performs a wide range of diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures under minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities
- Performbasic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures as ordered by alicensed physician.
- Providetechnical support for interventional radiology examinations, includingfluoroscopy, arthrography, trauma imaging, and OR procedures.
- Assesspatient condition and ensure proper positioning and safety throughoutimaging procedures.
- Operateand maintain imaging equipment, exam rooms, supplies, and medications.
- Producehigh-quality diagnostic radiographs and rotate through advanced radiologyareas (OR, Urography, myelography, arthrography, trauma, and specializedplacements).
- Completeall required competencies within the designated introductory period.
- Performadditional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
Qualifications
Education
- Required: Graduate of an accreditedImaging Program
- Preferred: Associate's degree
- Required: 2-5 years of X-ray experience
- Preferred: 1-3 years of InterventionalRadiology experience
- Required: ARRT (R), BLS, and statelicensures (if applicable)
- Preferred: ARRT VI or CI
- 2-5years of relevant experience
- Associate-levelseniority
- Nomanagement experience required
- Minimumeducation: Associate's degree
- Willingnessto travel occasionally
