This is a travel/contract Interventional Radiology position at a large healthcare facility with an avg. daily census of 450, 20 visits per day, 3 procedure rooms, and 650 beds. The unit performs a comprehensive range of special procedures including Stroke Intervention, Intracranial Embolization, Kyphoplasty, Carotid & Vertebral Stent, Nephrostomy and Biliary Placement, Chemo Embolization, Therasphere Mapping & Infusion, Mesenteric Angiogram, UAE, GAE, PAE, Chest Port, and Perm Cath Placement. Unit systems include Pyxis and EPIC (EPIC required). Special equipment includes Fluoroscopy (required), a single-plane Innova system, and Siemens Artis Biplane x2. Unit orientation is 40 hours. Scrubs are not provided; light blue scrubs are required.

- Position Type: Contract (Travel/Allied)
- Contract Duration: 3 months
- Pay Rate: $66.00 / Hour (USD)
- Shift / Schedule: Day shift; 8-hour days, 08:30-17:00, Monday-Friday
- Call Requirement: Yes - one day per week on a rotating call schedule (Tuesday, Thursday, Monday, Wednesday, Weekend rotation)
- Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend every 6-7 weeks

Key Responsibilities
- Perform Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures in a high-volume procedural unit
- Maintain equipment, PACS, and stock supplies
- Set up equipment, prep access site, serve as room circulator, and scrub/maintain sterile field
- Apply sterile technique and infection control protocols
- Utilize 3D imaging, isolation precautions/PPE, and lead tech experience
- Participate in Rapid Response/Code team activations as needed
- Participate in the unit call rotation (one day per week on a rotating Tuesday/Thursday/Monday/Wednesday/Weekend schedule)
- Adhere to weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 6-7 weeks

- Must have Neuro experience (emphasized as mandatory)
- Unit will NOT accept first-time travelers
- Previous Stroke Certified Hospital experience preferred
- On-call requirement: one day per week on a rotating call schedule
- Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 6-7 weeks
- Float requirement: None
- Scrubs: Not provided - light blue required
- Flu vaccination: Required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- COVID-19 vaccination: Not required
- Unit handles high-acuity special procedures including stroke intervention, embolization, and stent placement
- RTO (Return to Origin) after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire).
- The expected start date is based on the facility's schedule and is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week, and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.
- The facility will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week .
