Interventional Radiology RN

Unit Description

• Review the patient's chart, history, medications, allergies, labs, and imaging.
• Complete and document a standardized pre-procedure nursing assessment including verify IVCS vs. Anesthesia appropriateness.
• Identify and document anticoagulation, diabetes medications, contrast allergies, and other procedural risk factors.
• Verify required labs and communicate deficiencies to providers/schedulers.
• Document patient education, medication-hold instructions, and pre-procedure teaching within EPIC.
• Navigate scheduled cases/work queues and document telephone encounters efficiently.
• Escalate clinical concerns and route messages appropriately within EPIC.
• Understand protocoling process

Requirements

Healthcare Professionals must satisfy any required credentialing items before traveling to a strike. USN will prioritize booking travel arrangements for Healthcare Professionals with a complete file. If you arrive on-site with missing or outstanding items, you may not be eligible to work the strike.

• BLS; Massachusetts State License Required
