Jackson & Coker is seeking 3-4 Interventional Radiologists for a locum tenens opportunity in Tennessee, starting September 2026 and extending through January 2027. This role involves scheduled clinical hours, comprehensive Interventional Radiology procedures, and call coverage in a hospital setting. Candidates should be prepared to provide ongoing coverage and contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Practice Info

  • Hospital setting
  • 3-4 providers needed
  • Diagnostic reading not required, but physicians may perform reading based on preference
  • PACS: Merge, Powerscribe 360, Dragon
  • Interventional Radiology services with call coverage

Responsibilities

  • Perform Interventional Radiology procedures and patient care
  • Provide weeknight call coverage from 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM, 5 days per week
  • Provide weekend/holiday call coverage from 8:00 AM - 8:00 AM, 24-hour coverage
  • Perform full scope Interventional Radiology procedures including angiography, angioplasty, embolization, image-guided biopsies, and central venous access
  • Perform TIPS procedures, uterine artery embolization, vertebral augmentation procedures, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, and pain management procedures
  • Perform additional hospital-based IR procedures as outlined by facility privileges

Shift & Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM onsite coverage
  • Weeknight call: 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM, 5 days per week
  • Weekend/Holiday call: 8:00 AM - 8:00 AM, 24-hour coverage

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Radiology
  • Tennessee License or IMLC
  • DEA
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Available to begin in September and provide ongoing coverage through end of year
  • Clean malpractice history - highly preferred
