Interventional Radiologist

Jefferson Radiology is seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologist to join their growing practice in Connecticut. This opportunity offers two distinct practice settings: a high-acuity tertiary-care environment at Hartford Hospital or a community-based practice at Day Kimball Hospital. • Primary IR opportunity based at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, with additional coverage across outpatient sites and other hospital locations
• Hartford Hospital offers a high-acuity tertiary-care environment with opportunities to perform a broad range of advanced interventional procedures
• Community-based IR position at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, Connecticut
• Day Kimball Hospital is a 104-bed acute-care community hospital serving Northeast Connecticut
• Jefferson Radiology is a 90+ physician sub-specialty group practice with 400+ non-physician staff members based in Connecticut
• Jefferson Radiology supports a 20-person residency program

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of advanced interventional procedures (Hartford Hospital)
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards (Hartford Hospital)
• Engage with Jefferson Radiology's onsite residency program (Hartford Hospital)
• Perform community-focused procedural mix including PICC lines, paracentesis, thoracentesis, superficial and deep biopsies, lumbar punctures, myelograms, arthrograms, and abscess drainage (Day Kimball Hospital)
• Provide fluoroscopy coverage (Day Kimball Hospital)
• Provide mammography coverage (Day Kimball Hospital, preferred)
• Remote diagnostic reading opportunities (Day Kimball Hospital)

Compensation

• Salary Range with a base of $650,000 for on-site with productivity incentives upwards to $1,000,000 annually (Hartford Hospital)
• Commencement and/or Retention bonuses up to $100,000 collectively
• Salary Range with a base of $625,000 for on-site with productivity incentives upwards to $1,000,000 annually (Day Kimball Hospital)
• Annual discretionary bonus

Shift & Schedule

• Full-time (30+ hrs/week)
• Onsite Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM (Hartford Hospital)
• Favorable call schedule (Hartford Hospital)
• Monday through Friday daytime schedule (Day Kimball Hospital)
• Weekend call (Day Kimball Hospital)
• Flexible scheduling (Day Kimball Hospital)

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Graduate of an ACGME accredited Radiology residency program
• Graduate of an ACGME accredited Interventional Radiology fellowship program
• ABR or ABOR board-certified / board-eligible
• ACLS required
• Connecticut license required
• 3+ years of attending experience preferred but willing to consider new graduates
• Level I trauma coverage experience preferred
• Vein Center experience preferred, but not required
• High end IR skill set is preferred
