An opportunity is available for an experienced professional with skills in Imaging and Interventional Radiology (IR Tech). This contract position requires expertise in performing advanced imaging procedures and a strong commitment to patient care.
Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts (36 hours weekly)
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
- Previous experience as an IR Tech with proficiency in interventional radiology and diagnostic imaging techniques
- Current certification and credentials required for IR Technologists
- Familiarity with safety protocols, radiation protection, and infection control practices
- Ability to respond effectively to on-call and call-back requests
- Adaptable to weekend-only scheduling and willing to work holidays as required
- Flexibility to float to other units as needed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment for interventional radiology procedures with precision and attention to detail
- Prepare patients for procedures, provide accurate explanations, and ensure safety throughout the process
- Assist physicians with image-guided interventions and maintain sterile technique
- Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures, providing support and escalating concerns when necessary
- Complete documentation thoroughly and in compliance with regulatory standards
- Adhere to the facility's policies on patient care, emergency preparedness, and quality control measures
