Role: Interventional Radiographer responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images and supporting invasive procedures in a specialized radiology department.
Key Duties
- Perform neuro interventional procedures such as aneurysm repairs, cerebral bleeds, embolizations, clot evacuations, and endovenous laser ablations.
- Ensure technical proficiency in radiography, radiation safety, and patient care standards.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and documentation of any issues.
- Follow department policies, support student programs, and adhere to safety protocols.
- Gather patient history, explain procedures, and assist with patient positioning and comfort.
- Organize and interpret imaging reports, utilizing HIS, RIS, and PACS systems for workflow management.
- Evaluate image quality, recognize normal and abnormal findings, and report to radiologists or supervisors.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- Minimum of one year experience in Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, or Interventional Radiology.
- Licensed as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in Florida and registered with ARRT in Radiography.
- Ability to obtain ARRT registration in Vascular Intervention, Cardiovascular, or Cardiac Interventional within one year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and computer proficiency required.
Skills: Technical radiography skills, patient communication, safety adherence, equipment management, and familiarity with relevant software systems.
