Responsible for the technical functions related to assisting with advanced therapeutic interventional and general G.I. and pulmonary procedures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssist in implementing and data gathering in the care of the patients undergoing interventional and general endoscopic procedures and performs other duties as assigned. Assists the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound procedures, ERCP, fine needle aspiration with slide preparation, biliary and pancreatic duct stents, esophageal stents, manometric procedures, esophageal dilations, specimen collection and other related procedures/dutiesPrepare procedure rooms according to interventional endoscopic or pulmonary procedure requirements. Perform proper safety checks to verify proper equipment function. Troubleshoot any issues pertaining to endoscopes and deviceClean, disinfect, or calibrate scopes or other interventional endoscopic instruments. Collect Specimens from patients. Place devices, such as blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeter sensors, nasal cannulas, surgical cautery pads, and cardiac monitoring electrodes, on patients to monitor vital signs.EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma or GED RequiredOther / Certificate Completion of SGNA Associates Program PreferredEXPERIENCE2 years Direct patient care experience or endoscopy experience Required1 year General Endoscopy experience with ERCP PreferredLICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONSBasic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Current RequiredWe're all in for your career.
