Interventional/Diagnostic Radiologist

This hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment in Kentucky, starting ASAP. The role involves providing on-site inpatient and clinic coverage Monday through Friday with no call requirements. The ideal clinician will handle a mix of diagnostic reads and light interventional procedures using the Meditech EMR system.

• No call responsibilities, no weekend duties, and no holiday obligations

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site inpatient and clinic coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Perform diagnostic radiology reads across all basic modalities - CT, MRI, US, NM, and X-ray
• Perform light interventional radiology procedures comprising the remaining workload
• Perform procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, drainages, and fine needle biopsies of the thyroid, breast, lymph node, and potentially liver and renal sites

Qualifications

• Board certification through ABR or ABOR is required or negotiable
• Active state license is preferred
• IMLC will be considered
• Documentation of 500 radiological film readings within the past two years is required
