Interventional Cardiologist

Valley Baptist Physician Network is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join a well-established cardiovascular group at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen. This full-time, employed position offers a built-out practice with a collegial team, strong mentorship, and a light call burden. The role provides opportunities for research, teaching, and professional growth within a leading cardiovascular services center.

Practice Info

• Full-time, employed position based at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX
• Clinic located in the Medical Arts Pavilion, directly connected to the hospital and Cath Lab
• Low call burden: approximately 3 days/month, shared across a 10-provider cardiology panel
• 4 Cath Lab suites with Cardiac, EP, and Neuro capabilities
• Da Vinci XI robotic surgical system and Cerner EMR on-site
• Access to an active clinical research department

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Manage device implantation and management
• Address structural heart disease
• Treat arrhythmias
• Manage heart failure
• Treat peripheral vascular disease
• See approximately 25 patients per day in clinic
• Perform 10-15 procedures per week initially

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology
• Licensed in Texas or eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license
• No visa sponsorship available
