Interventional Cardiologist Role in California – Flexible Block Schedule

- Schedule: Full-time equivalent (182.5 days/year) with a structured block schedule (7 days on/7 days off). Block scheduling gives you predictable time on and true time off.
- Team: Work closely with APPs, PCPs, Hospitalists, Interventionalists
- Contract: 1-3 year contract
Clinical Responsibilities
- Outpatient cardiology clinic
- Inpatient consults and rounding
- 24/7 call during block schedule
- Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
- Instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR)
- IVUS
- Nuclear cardiology studies
- Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
- Supervise or interpret stress testing
Procedures
- Cardioversion
- IABP
- Temporary Pacemakers
- Pacemaker Implants (preferred but not required)
- Peripheral Intervention (preferred but not required)
Requirements
- Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology
- 75 PCIs in the last 12 months
- California medical license
- California Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit
