The center offers advanced programs in chronic total occlusion PCI, peripheral arterial disease, structural heart disease, advanced heart failure, and pulmonary hypertension, along with diagnostic cath lab capabilities at several regional hospitals.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic team. The primary focus of this role will be on coronary interventions, with an opportunity to help grow our interventional cardiology program across a wide geography of Maine and New Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform coronary interventions with precision and expertise.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, research opportunities, and continuous professional development to advance interventional cardiology practices.
• Participate in teaching and mentoring programs including medical students, residents, and fellows. Our academic affiliation is with Tufts Medical School.
• Contribute to the growth and development of interventional cardiology at MH MMC-P.

Qualifications

Required

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Eligible for or active Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Maine.

Preferred

• Experience in complex coronary interventions, involving plaque modification techniques, intravascular imaging, and mechanical circulatory support.
• Demonstrated engagement in clinical quality improvement and outcomes measurement.
• Experience working in a tertiary or academic medical center environment.
