Interventional Cardiologist

Ochsner Rush Health, based in Meridian, MS, is seeking a BE/BC Interventional Cardiologist to join their well-respected and growing practice. This opportunity allows a physician to step into a high-volume practice supported by an extensive regional referral network across East Mississippi and West Alabama. Providers will enjoy a collaborative, physician-led environment with comprehensive specialty support and teaching opportunities.

Practice Info

• Integrated health system consisting of a 215-bed hospital, 49-bed LTAC hospital, 5 critical access hospitals, and over 30 clinics
• Cardiology practice includes 3 Interventional Cardiologists, 1 non-invasive cardiologist, 4 mid-levels, 1 vascular surgeon, and 1 vein specialist
• Cardiology Clinic is located in a multi-specialty clinic building adjacent to a hospital featuring two cath labs and a hybrid peripheral room
• 23-bed closed ICU with a dedicated med/surgical team and 2 intensivists
• Established Adult Hospitalist Program and tenured Emergency Medicine team, all employed and staffed by Ochsner Rush
• EPIC medical record platform utilized throughout the health system

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality cardiac care as an Interventional Cardiologist
• Perform new procedures including Impella left ventricular assist device, pulmonary thrombectomy, orbital coronary atherectomy, and ultraviolet laser atherectomy
• Participate in the active pacemaker program including standard pacemakers, Micra pacemakers, AICDs, and CRT devices
• Utilize recently added technologies such as the CardioMEMs Heart Failure system, impulse dynamics CCM device, and Shockwave Coronary Lithotripsy
• Engage in teaching opportunities for the local family medicine residency program
