Interventional Cardiologist

Valley Baptist Physician Network is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join a well-established cardiovascular group at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. This full-time, employed position offers a fully built-out practice with a collegial team, strong mentorship, and a light call burden, allowing the physician to focus on exceptional patient care. The role provides access to a clinical research department and optional teaching opportunities through the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Practice Info

• Employed position based at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX
• Clinic located in the Medical Arts Pavilion, directly connected to the hospital and Cath Lab
• Approximately 25 patients per day
• 10-15 procedures per week initially
• Low call burden: approximately 3 days/month, shared across a 10-provider cardiology panel
• 4 Cath Lab suites with Cardiac, EP, and Neuro capabilities

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Perform device implantation and management
• Manage structural heart disease
• Manage arrhythmias
• Manage heart failure
• Manage peripheral vascular disease

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology
• Licensed in Texas or eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license
• J-1 or H-1B visa sponsorship available
