Provider's Role

Interventional Cardiologist.

Location & Facilities

Morristown (Knoxville area), TN. 167 Bed Hospital System, 2 Cath Labs.

No structural or complex cases. Peripheral and coronary cases available.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Assess, maintain, and improve the health status of individuals in the communities served through timely access to evidence-based acute, preventive, and chronic disease care.
• Serve as a role model of professionalism to all members of the interdisciplinary health care team.
• Collaborate with all other practitioners and clinical support staff to form a high performing team.
• Provide high-value care; demonstrate good stewardship of resources by limiting unnecessary testing and referrals; and consider risks, benefits, and patient preferences when making diagnostic or therapeutic intervention decisions.
• Document all patient care activities and services provided in the electronic health record. Ensure documentation is clear, concise, accurate, updated, and in sufficient detail to allow another provider to continue the patient’s care and allow other parties to review the safety and quality of care provided.
• Interventional Call 1: 2; Interventional/stemi call 1: 3; ED Call PA and NP support staff.

Background Profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist
• Ability to hold an unrestricted state of Tennessee MD or DO licensure
