Description
The School of Medicine of Stony Brook University seeks an interventional pulmonologist to join the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The role includes advanced diagnostic and interventional bronchoscopy, expanding clinical services, conducting independent and collaborative research, and participating in fellowship training. The candidate will collaborate with Surgery, Radiology, and Medical Oncology and be involved in the Lung Cancer Evaluation Center, inpatient critical care services, and pulmonary inpatient/outpatient practice.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical care, conduct research, contribute to fellowship training, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- MD (or foreign equivalent or higher).
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary.
- BC/BE in Critical Care Medicine with completion of a Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Interventional Pulmonology (preferred).
Special Notes
Tenure/non‑tenure track position. FLSA exempt; not eligible for overtime provisions. Eligibility for tenure or senior faculty requires meeting the School of Medicine criteria.
