Responsibilities

AI, Automation, Tax Technology & Data Solutions

Design and implement AI‑assisted and automated workflows for international tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax provision, and tax research. Identify manual or repetitive tax processes and redesign them using AI tools, workflow automation, tax technology platforms, and structured data solutions. Build and improve tax data workflows that extract, transform, reconcile, and analyze tax‑relevant information from SAP and other source systems. Create scalable workpapers, dashboards, data validation checks, exception reporting, and automation routines to improve efficiency, consistency, and review quality. Develop reusable AI prompts, workflow templates, and review mechanisms tailored to international tax and transfer pricing use cases. Partner with Finance Technology, IT, Accounting, and other stakeholders to ensure tax automation solutions are reliable, auditable, controlled, and scalable. Evaluate emerging AI and tax technology tools and recommend practical applications for Sonos’ global tax function. Ensure AI‑enabled solutions are used responsibly, with appropriate review, documentation, controls, and professional judgment.

International Tax Solutions

Apply international tax knowledge to design automation and AI‑enabled solutions in areas such as GILTI, SubpartF, FDII, foreign tax credits, BEAT, Pillar2, OECD BEPS developments, and permanent establishment considerations. Use AI tools to accelerate tax research, issue identification, data analysis, and scenario modeling. Validate AI‑generated research, analysis, and outputs before they are used in compliance, planning, provision, or reporting processes. Support development of tools and processes that improve visibility into international tax risks, obligations, and opportunities.

Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Processes

Build and improve automated processes supporting transfer pricing calculations, intercompany charges, documentation, benchmarking, Country‑by‑Country Reporting, and related data analysis. Develop validation checks and review mechanisms to identify data inconsistencies, policy drift, and changes in operational flows that may impact transfer pricing outcomes. Partner with external advisors and internal stakeholders to improve the quality, speed, and consistency of transfer pricing deliverables. Support technology‑enabled improvements to intercompany agreement tracking, transaction monitoring, and transfer pricing documentation workflows.

Tax Provision & Reporting

Support automation of ASC740 international tax provision processes, including ETR analysis, deferred tax support, uncertain tax positions, return‑to‑provision adjustments, and audit support. Develop repeatable workflows and validation checks that improve provision accuracy, reduce manual effort, and strengthen audit readiness. Assist with automation and consistency checks for tax reporting, disclosure support, and provision‑related documentation.

Cross‑Functional Partnership

Serve as a practical technology builder within the tax function, helping identify where AI, automation, and tax technology can create the most value. Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, Supply Chain, IT, and external advisors on tax data, process, and system improvements. Support cross‑border business initiatives by helping convert tax requirements into scalable tools, workflows, and reporting solutions. Promote a culture of responsible innovation within the tax function, balancing speed and automation with accuracy, controls, and sound professional judgment.
