This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-known and respected CPA firm that offers excellent training, personal development and professional growth.Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:Advise clients of the tax implications relating to their business objectives, recommending alternate courses of action, as well as identifying different methods of complying with tax regulationsHas strong attention to detail and ability to review U.S.
federal and state income tax returns for businesses including S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, and individualsHas knowledge of U.S. international tax reporting, corporate inbound and outbound structuring, CFC GILTI and Subpart F, foreign tax credits, PFIC rules, U.S. nonresident withholding tax, etc.Conduct primary and secondary review of complex international tax returnsPerform technical detail review for accuracy of U.S.
international tax reporting forms including U.S. federal Forms 5471, 5472, 926, 8992, 8832, 8865, 8858, 1118, 1116, 3520, 3520-A, 1120-F, 1040NR, 1042, 1042-S, 8938, FBAR, etc.Proactively research existing and proposed tax law to determine impact on clients' financial position; present finding/recommendations to clients as appropriateDevelop tax planning strategies to minimize U.S. and foreign income taxesDevelop tax-efficient structuring of international transactions; make effective use of tax treatiesReview workpapers prepared by staff; recommend changes, additional documentation, research, and/or calculations as necessary to comply with applicable tax law and Firm policyContribute to firm marketing and business development activitiesProviding supervision, training, mentoring and guidance to tax staff, seniors and other members of the teamQualifications:Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferredJuris Doctorate degree, LLM and/or MST/MBT, preferredCPA required7-12 years' experience in a public accounting firmSuperior client service focusAbility to multi-task and meet deadlinesMinimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experienceSolid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ProSystem fx, CCH Access, and BNA Tax PlannerAbility to communicate complex technical items to target audience so that relevant issues are clearly understoodSuperior analytical and legal and tax research skillsWorking ConditionsAble to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime required during certain business cyclesThe client is an organization committed to diversity and inclusion to drive our business results and create a better future every day for our diverse employees, clients, partners, and communities.
