Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join their robust primary care practice at Marshfield Medical Center - Minocqua in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. This is a 100% outpatient practice offering flexible scheduling options, including a 4-day work week. The role provides an excellent work-life balance within a collegial group of providers and opportunities for involvement in research and teaching.

Practice Info

  • 100% outpatient practice
  • National Health Service Corps (NHSC) approved site
  • Collegial group of providers that consists of a nice mix of new and experienced physicians and APCs
  • Work in collaboration with multiple specialists located on-site
  • Nurse line is 1st call and call is 1:5 (phone call only)
  • Opportunity to be involved in cutting-edge research along with teaching opportunities to medical students rotating throughout our system

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examinations
  • Admit (if applicable to the setting)
  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultative services to adolescent and adult patients with common and complex illness, diseases and functional disorders of the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, and genitourinary systems

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
