This role involves providing comprehensive care to adult patients, focusing on disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Practice Info

  • Multi-specialty clinic with 1000+ medical providers in 65 medical specialties
  • Full access to several sub-specialists, imaging, lab services, and patient education within the Kelsey-Seybold system
  • EPIC electronic health record is used throughout the organization for patient care
  • Internal Medicine physicians are supported by nursing and administrative staff
  • Periodic hospital call admitting only Kelsey-Seybold patients
  • Certain call groups have nocturnists managing admissions overnight

Responsibilities

  • Examine adult patients 18 years and older to ensure proper care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of various medical conditions
  • Order medically necessary tests
  • Perform follow-up visits
  • Place referrals to specialists when needed
  • Interpret basic medical tests and imaging in planning care for patients
  • Take periodic hospital call admitting only Kelsey-Seybold patients

Compensation

  • Compensation generally ranges from $238,500 - $392,500
  • Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus
  • Compensation is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role

Shift & Schedule

  • See patients in office from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday
  • Typically not required to stay overnight in hospitals

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved training program in the United States
  • Licensed in the State of Texas
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
