Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of Optum, is seeking an Internal Medicine physician to join their team across 40+ locations in Houston. This role involves providing comprehensive care to adult patients, focusing on disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. The physician will benefit from full access to sub-specialists, imaging, and lab services within the Kelsey-Seybold system, utilizing EPIC electronic health records for collaborative patient care.

Practice Info

  • Multi-specialty clinic with more than 900 medical providers in 65 medical specialties.
  • Full access to several sub-specialists, imaging, lab services, and patient education within the Kelsey-Seybold system.
  • EPIC electronic health record is used throughout the organization for patient care.
  • Internal Medicine physicians are supported by nursing and administrative staff.
  • Periodic hospital call admitting only Kelsey-Seybold patients, typically not requiring overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Examine adult patients 18 years and older to ensure proper care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of various medical conditions.
  • Order medically necessary tests.
  • Perform follow-up visits.
  • Place referrals to specialists when needed.
  • Interpret basic medical tests and imaging in planning care for patients.
  • Take periodic hospital call admitting only Kelsey-Seybold patients.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this role is $229,500 to $378,000 per year.
  • Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target.
  • The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement.
  • Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.

Shift & Schedule

  • See patients in office from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved training program in the United States.
  • Licensed in the State of Texas.
  • Board Certified and/or Board Eligible.
