Job Overview
Physician (Family Medicine / Internal Medicine). New graduates accepted in San Antonio, TX. Work schedule: Day shift, full-time. Monday through Friday.
Medical Specialty: Primary Care.
Work Location: In-person, office-based setting.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, diagnosing and treating patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Order and carry out diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, electrocardiograms, lab work), interpret results, identify abnormalities, and ensure follow-up care and patient communication.
- Offer counseling on medication usage, address mental health concerns, provide health education, and perform routine preventive care assessments.
- Suggest appropriate treatment options and help guide the patient's care plan.
- Accurately document all patient interactions and services provided in medical records.
- Administer various medical procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care management.
- Contribute to community health by creating and managing patient care plans.
- In‑office responsibilities include performing the following procedures:
- Wound repair
- Cyst and abscess drainage
- Skin biopsy procedures
- Joint and trigger point steroid injections
- Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Pap smears
- IUD removals
- Ingrown toenail removal
- Wart removal
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas Physician License (Required).
- Board Certification (New graduates must be board‑eligible and will need to obtain certification before starting the position).
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks is a bonus.
- Candidates with a green card or U.S. citizenship are preferred; H1‑B candidates who have completed the J1‑waiver are also welcome to apply.
