Internal Medicine Physician
Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible / Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician to provide outpatient primary care services in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This full-time role involves leading and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care. Practice Info
- Practice call in rotation with the group
- Support from Patient Centered Medical Home team consisting of Clinical Pharmacists, Behavioral Health Clinicians, Care Managers, Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants along with Registered Nurses & Medical Assistants.
- EMR: EPIC
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
- Make professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen.
- Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests.
- Prescribe treatments, medications, and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Document all patient encounters and communications appropriately.
- Manage the provider/patient relationship.
- Receive and resolve patient complaints.
- Involved in education and counseling of individuals, families, and groups.

- 16-20 patients per day
- 34 patient contact hours with 6 administrative hours per week
- Practice call in rotation with the group
Requirements
- MD/DO.
- Board Eligible or Certified in Internal Medicine.
- State of New Mexico Medical License.
- DEA & NM Controlled Substance Registration.
