The Role: Team-Based Clinical ExcellenceComprehensive Care: Deliver full-spectrum outpatient primary care to a diverse patient panel across their lifespan (birth to geriatrics ).
Clinical Scope: Conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat acute/chronic conditions, order diagnostics, perform minor procedures (suturing, injections), and provide preventative health counseling.
Supervision & Leadership: Exercise clinical oversight and mentorship for on-site Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs).
The Care Team Model: Function within a tight-knit team matrix (Patient, Care Coordinator, Nurse, and Provider) to support self-management and positive behavior change.
Quality Improvement: Participate in collaborative QI activities, including PDSA cycles and patient satisfaction reviews to enhance population health outcomes.
Direct Patient Care: Work 4 days per week providing direct patient care, standard day shifts (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ).
Pure Remote Admin Day: Enjoy 1 dedicated 8-hour administrative day per week . This block does not have to be completed in the office, giving you absolute freedom as long as your charting and desktop tasks are current.
Clinical Pacing: Maintain a balanced, manageable patient volume averaging 2.5 patients per hour (18 to 22 total patients per clinical day).
Ultra-Light On-Call: Serve strictly as a secondary backup for the APPs (who handle first-line triage calls) and review occasional critical labs. Rotation lasts 1 week at a time, averaging a highly sustainable 3 to 5 total phone calls for the entire week . No hospital rounding.
Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Training: Successful completion of an accredited residency training program (Family Medicine or Med-Peds preferred).
Licensure: Active, unrestricted New York State Physician License.
Board Status: New York State Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) required.
