Overview
Internal Medicine Physician — HiredFirst — Full-time, Contract — In-Office | Peridot, AZ, United States
4-10 hour shifts, Mon–Thu and one Tue–Fri, no nights or on-call.
Experience and licenses: 5 years clinical experience in a clinic; hospital setting preferred; BLS; DEA; BC preferred; current and unrestricted Medical License and DEA License; eligible for Board Certification; Board Certification preferred.
Education: Graduation from an accredited program leading to either an M.D. or D.O. degree.
Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive examination and diagnosis of patients through history, diagnostic tests, and other appropriate examinations.
- Diagnoses, directs, prescribes, or provides treatment and/or arranges for specialized care for patients; refers patients for further diagnosis and treatment as appropriate.
- Prescribes corrective procedures to conserve, improve, or correct patient health through the use of therapy and training.
- Prescribes medications for control of infection, pain, viral, bacterial, and fungal infections.
- Establishes a plan of care to restore health and/or treat.
- Knowledge of methods, practices and techniques of the medical specialty and safety procedures.
- Demonstrates effective listening and communication skills; ability to work with patients of varying ages; ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to apply critical thinking for escalation/triage to proper healthcare professional.
- Ability to discuss healthcare practices and procedures in lay terms; communicate clearly to perform essential functions.
- Maintain confidentiality and patient care standards; uphold professional and ethical behavior.
- Interact respectfully with patients, employees, visitors and vendors; provide customer service to patients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with other medical and specialty areas for multidisciplinary consults as needed.
- Participate in departmental orientation, training, and quality assurance programs; maintain current skill and competency levels.
- May be requested to perform duties during non-routine clinic hours and/or at another clinic site; perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- 5 years of clinical experience in a clinic; hospital setting preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited MD or DO program.
- Current and unrestricted Medical License and DEA License.
- BLS Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Eligible for Board Certification; Board Certification preferred.
