Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine Physician to join its practice at the Institute for Advanced Medicine (IAM) in Queens. This role focuses on providing comprehensive primary and preventive care, with a special emphasis on LGBTQ patients, HIV prevention and care, and gender-affirming services. The physician will work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care and experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide acute/urgent care of emergent/acute illnesses and injuries, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Provide medical services to the patients of the clinic, inclusive of all functions necessary to provide quality medical care
- See patients in a timely and efficient manner, staying reasonably on time for scheduled appointments throughout the day
- Diagnose and provide medical treatment
- Formulate treatment plans
- Manage short and long-term conditions
- Perform complete and focused physical exams
- Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow up
Compensation
- Compensation range from $225,000 to $246,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
- The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits
Shift & Schedule
- Amenable to the potential for some evenings and weekends in the future as the practice develops over time
Requirements
- Prior experience in HIV primary care highly encouraged
- Demonstrated problem-solving and workflow management skills
- Good computer skills with experience with electronic health records and presentation software
- Willingness to problem-solve and do what it takes to get the job done
