Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine physician to join a successful and well-established practice. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care to adolescent and adult patients within a supportive group setting. The position is based in Dickinson, a progressive community in Western North Dakota known for its excellent quality of life and strong economy.
Practice Info
- Join a group of 15 primary care, 5 pediatric, and 3 OB/GYN providers
- Same Day Surgery Center with visiting orthopedic surgeons
- Site includes infusion center, lab/radiology, Mobile MRI, and CT Scanner
- Visiting specialties include: Cardiology, Nephrology, Oncology, and Pediatric Cardiology
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examinations
- Admit (if applicable to the setting)
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultative services to adolescent and adult patients with common and complex illness, diseases and functional disorders of the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, and genitourinary systems
Compensation
- Annual compensation of $350,000 for the first two years of the employment contract
- Estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs
- $200,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 4 years

Shift & Schedule
- Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with optional call and half a day of administrative time
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
