Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join a well-established group in the Bismarck/Mandan area. This outpatient-only role offers a Monday through Friday schedule with full-time hospitalist coverage and rotated telephone call. The position provides an opportunity to work within a supportive environment with a culture of innovation and potential for academic involvement.

Practice Info

  • Join a successful, well-established group of physicians in nine clinics in the Bismarck/Mandan area
  • Outpatient only
  • Full time hospitalist coverage
  • Current practice is made up of 6 physicians & 3 APPs
  • Culture of innovation and supportive administration
  • Teaching/Academic setting available within UND School of Medicine

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examinations
  • Admit (if applicable to the setting)
  • Evaluate, diagnosis, treat and provide consultative services to adolescent and adult patients with common and complex illness, diseases and functional disorders of the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, and genitourinary systems

Shift & Schedule

  • Monday through Friday office hours
  • Clinic based internists have telephone call only which is rotated throughout the clinic

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
