This facility is a well-established hospital system offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient oncology services, including an oncology clinic directly attached to a chemo treatment center. The facility is COC accredited and manages approximately 500 analytic cases each year, providing a robust and professionally rewarding clinical environment.
Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:

• Provide inpatient and outpatient Hematology/Oncology coverage with 12-15 patient encounters per shift
• Work within a clinic and call schedule, including weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call
• Providers are on call 1 out of every 3 weeks; regular clinic hours during the day with evening call on weekdays and 24-hour call on weekends
• Physician is expected to respond by phone only after hours and on weekends; no on-site call back required
• Shift times are 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
• Guaranteed 8 hours per day; overtime applies after 10 hours per day and must be pre-approved
• Minimum of 2-4 weeks of coverage required per month
• Active California license required; licensure in CA only accepted
• DEA required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency required
• BLS certification required
• Providers must supply two years of inpatient case logs to qualify for hospital privileges
• All Hospital-Based Specialties require 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty
• Gaps greater than 3 months in clinical activity must be explained
• Providers with a clean file may be eligible for temporary privileges for an earlier start date
• Providers with settlements, DUIs/drug issues, restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions are not eligible for temporary privileges
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days
• Long-term lodging maximum approval is $3,500 per month

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
