Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This full-time role involves working collaboratively within a Patient Centered Medical Home team, focusing on delivering high-quality patient care. The position offers a nationally competitive salary and a supportive practice environment.

Practice Info

  • Outpatient, primary care services
  • Team-based care model including nurses, medical assistants, case and care managers, behavioral health clinicians, pharmacist clinicians, and clerical staff
  • Support from Patient Centered Medical Home team consisting of Clinical Pharmacists, Behavioral Health Clinicians, Care Managers, Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants along with Registered Nurses & Medical Assistants
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Practice call in rotation with the group

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses
  • Make professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen
  • Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests
  • Prescribe treatments, medications, and non-pharmacologic therapies
  • Document all patient encounters and communications appropriately
  • Manage the provider/patient relationship
  • Involved in education and counseling of individuals, families, and groups
  • Work autonomously as well as in collaboration with other health care providers and staff as needed

  • FTE: 1.00
  • 16-20 patients per day
  • 34 patient contact hours with 6 administrative hours per week

Requirements

  • MD/DO
  • Board Eligible or Certified in Internal Medicine
  • State of New Mexico Medical License
  • DEA & NM Controlled Substance Registration
