AdventHealth Medical Group in Sebring, FL, is seeking an experienced core Internal Medicine outpatient-only faculty physician to join their Internal Medicine Residency program. This role offers a unique opportunity to mentor, teach, and supervise the next generation of medical professionals within a community-based program. The physician will play an integral part in curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and direct patient care, contributing to a robust and supportive medical environment.

- Internal Medicine Residency program began in 2022 and will have 24 Residents (8-8-8)
- Community-based program in Sebring, Florida
- Full-scope medical staff program with resources available, including the team in Orlando
- Part of the AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education network, with residency and fellowship programs nationwide
Responsibilities
- Provide mentoring, teaching, and supervision of the faculty, residents, and students in the Internal Medicine Program
- Assist the program director in mentoring and providing critical evaluations of the clinical and teaching effectiveness of the internal medicine residents and program
- Practice and teach full-spectrum Internal Medicine
- Teach didactics and assist in leading curriculum development
- Interview and recruit faculty for the clinic, maintaining adequate physician staffing at the clinical site
- Perform yearly reviews of faculty goals and accomplishments
- Provide direct clinical care to patients
- Teach Internal Medicine medical students and residency training in the clinic location
- Conduct research

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Unrestricted Florida licensure or ability to obtain
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in internal medicine, with two years as a core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program
- DEA with full prescriptive authority
- Commitment to providing high quality, evidenced based patient care
- Commitment to teach medical students and train the Internal Medicine physicians of tomorrow
