Sanford Health, one of the largest and fastest-growing not-for-profit health systems in the United States, is seeking a BE/BC Nocturnal Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join its Hospitalist group of 30+ physicians. This role offers an employed physician model with a smooth physician-to-physician hand-off and a flexible schedule. The successful candidate will contribute to a supportive environment dedicated to health and healing.

Practice Info

  • Join a Hospitalist group of 30+ physicians
  • Employed Physician Model
  • Smooth transition of Physician-to-Physician hand-off
  • Average 16 patients per physician, per day
  • EMR is EPIC throughout all Sanford locations

Responsibilities

  • Admit, diagnose, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to adolescent and adult patients with common and complex illnesses, diseases, and functional disorders of the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, and genitourinary systems

Shift & Schedule

  • 12-hr block shift
  • Weekly Rounder and Admitter Shifts

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited postgraduate training program in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, an Internal Medicine subspecialty, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
  • BE/BC in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
