Internal Medicine Hospitalist

Role Overview

Apply adult inpatient clinical expertise to help improve AI systems through high-quality review of medical records and documentation standards. This remote contract role focuses on inpatient care, clinical documentation, and data quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records, including FHIR data and clinical notes, for AI training.
• Determine whether clinical information and claims are supported by the medical record.
• Review adult inpatient documentation, including HPI, PMH, medication reconciliation, social history, assessments, and plans.
• Identify missing, inaccurate, or inconsistent record details, including renal- and hepatic-adjusted dosing, medication interactions, and age-appropriate clinical considerations.
• Apply established review guidelines consistently and provide feedback that improves AI model performance and data quality.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine with a Hospital Medicine focused practice designation.
• At least 5 years of hospitalist experience.
• Current or recent inpatient hospitalist experience within the past 2 years.
• Strong knowledge of inpatient documentation and hospital workflows, including admissions, daily progress notes, transitions of care, and discharge.
• Comfort reviewing clinical notes and raw medical-record data.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined standards consistently.
• Experience in chart review, clinical documentation improvement, utilization review, medical coding, or quality assurance is a plus.

Work Terms

• Remote independent contractor engagement.
• Compensation is output-based and paid for tasks that meet project specifications.
• Completion time may vary based on individual experience and workflow.
• Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum weekly task-submission commitment.

Compensation

$80 to $125 per hour.
