Good Samaritan, in partnership with Indiana University School of Medicine, is seeking an Internal Medicine Core/Key Faculty member for their Southwest Indiana Internal Medicine Residency program in Vincennes, IN. This role offers broad-based clinical training in state-of-the-art facilities, with flexible practice options including outpatient or hospitalist roles. The position emphasizes resident education and mentorship, contributing to a program committed to learner success.
Practice Info
- Faculty role can be combined with an Outpatient role or a Hospitalist Role if desired
- Core faculty members devote at least 15 hours/week to resident education and administration
- Key Faculty contribute to graduate medical education through the primary role of precepting in the Residency Outpatient clinic - ratio approximately 4:1
- Good Samaritan is a 156-bed level III Trauma Center, and Certified Primary Stroke Center
- Accredited Cancer Center on-site, EPIC EMR, Abridge AI and other state-of-the-art technology and equipment including DaVinci & MAKO robots
- No call, outpatient only - multiple subspecialists for consults
Responsibilities
- Devote at least 15 hours/week to resident education and administration
- Evaluate competency domains
- Work closely with PD
- Assist in developing and implementing evaluation systems
- Teach and advise residents
- Precept in the Residency Outpatient clinic
Compensation
- Competitive guaranteed base $250,000
- $45,000 sign on
- Up to $10,000 paid relocation
- Salary Range: $250,000 to $260,000 / Year
- Options for Renewable Loan Repayment program
- Additional grant money and incentives may be available due to the approval of a rural health initiative for the state of Indiana
