Internal Auditor IIPrintpack is seeking a qualified Internal Auditor II to support audit and advisory activities that mitigate risk across our organization. This position plays a critical role in executing our annual audit plan, strengthening control environments across corporate and plant operations, and maintaining financial reporting integrity while fostering continuous improvement. The Internal Auditor II position will be located in our corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA, and will report to the Director, Internal Audit.Strategic Audit Planning & ExecutionSupport the development and execution of annual audit plans through risk assessment methodologies and strategic scopingPerform complex corporate and plant internal audits utilizing outsourced internal auditors, including guest auditors and Ernst & Young personnelPlan and execute risk-based audits following established methodologies and professional standardsControl Assessment & DocumentationConduct detailed process walkthroughs to document internal controls and identify risk points across functional areasEvaluate control design and operating effectiveness, identifying deficiencies and improvement opportunitiesWork with control owners to maintain compliance and strengthen the overall control environmentPerform operational audits for finance, operations, and compliance functionsCommunication & Advisory ServicesCommunicate audit findings, deficiencies, and recommendations to control owners and management in clear, actionable formatsEducate process owners on internal control requirements and regulatory compliance obligationsSupport control deficiency remediation by consulting with management on action plansDevelop relationships with management across all levels and promote internal audit awarenessProject Management & CollaborationLead audit projects in collaboration with compliance functions and cross-functional teamsCoordinate audit activities with external auditors and regulatory bodiesEnsure timely completion of audit engagements and follow-up on management action plansPartner with business units to identify process improvements and best practicesUp to 25% travel to Printpack locations (domestic and possibly international)Training & DevelopmentProvide training, coaching, and guidance to guest auditors and junior audit staffDevelop and deliver internal audit training programs for process owners and managementStay current with industry best practices and regulatory changesPolicy Development & MaintenanceAssist in developing and maintaining comprehensive internal audit policies and proceduresEnsure audit documentation meets professional standards and regulatory requirementsContribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies and toolsRequired QualificationsEducation & ExperienceProgressive experience in auditing or internal controls-based audits with demonstrated advancementBig Four or other public accounting experience preferredCPA, CISA, and/or CIA certification preferredManufacturing or Packaging industry experience preferredJD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP system experience preferredData Analytics and AI in Internal Audit experience preferredTechnical SkillsConsiderable knowledge of internal auditing and accounting principles, with expertise in control evaluation methodologiesStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirementsProficiency in risk assessment methodologies and control evaluation techniquesAdvanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel data analysis, pivot tables, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)Experience with AI, data mining, data analytics, and audit software applicationsKnowledge of regulatory requirements affecting manufacturing and multi-national operationsCore CompetenciesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearlyStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence without direct authorityStrong project management and planning capabilitiesAbility to maintain composure under pressure while managing multiple prioritiesStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAdaptability to changing business environments and audit requirementsPosition ScopeGeographic: Multi-location responsibilities, including corporate headquarters and manufacturing plants across Printpack's operational footprintFunctional: All business processes, including financial reporting, operations, compliance, IT, and risk managementLeadership: Advanced supervision of outsourced internal auditors, mentoring of guest auditors, and project managementStakeholder Interaction: Regular interface with senior management, plant managers, controllers, and external audit firmsPrintpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer.
